As a comprehensive research university focusing on the humanities, social sciences, economics and management, Renmin University of China has always regarded the cultivation of high-level, high-quality and practical talents as the basis for her accomplishments.
With the advent of the new century, the updating cycle of knowledge has kept shortening, the demands of the society for talents tend to be more diversified and in favor of high-level intellectuals, thus lifelong education has come to be the concern of the education circle and the whole society.

    Basing the university on the humanities and prospering with genuine learning, RUC advances by pursuit of the truth and develops by creativity. In order to formulate a brand new educational and training platform featuring diversification, internationalization, multi-discipline and practicability, the School of Education and Training was established in 2003 on the basis of the former Center of Education and Training in RUC.

    As the university’s responsible institution undertaking the task of lifelong education, the School of Education and Training fully takes the advantage of the overall educational resources of the University. Bringing its functions of social services into full play, the School of Education and Training explores ways of converting the achievements in the humanities and social sciences into social productivity, improves the management system of non-degree education, and promotes its functions of teaching organization and teaching management as a whole.

    Carrying on the fine traditions of RUC in various in-service training programs, the School of Education and Training functions towards the fulfillment of social demands and students’ needs and aims for higher start-point, greater achievements, more rapid progress and greater contribution throughout its pursuit.
